Top Crypto News: 06/14

There have been some notable developments in the crypto space today. Bitcoin is currently up 2.9% and is trading at $40,414.36. Ethereum is also up 5.6% over the last 24 hours, trading at $2,629.64.

1 – Elon Musk Reveal When Tesla Will Resume Accepting Bitcoin (BTC) Payments

While responding to accusations from Sygnia CEO, Magda Wierzycka, Elon revealed that Tesla will resume accepting BTC as a payment option when miners can utilize clean energy.

Wierzycka reportedly accused Elon Musk of Bitcoin pump and dump. “What we have seen with Bitcoin is price manipulation by one very powerful and influential individual,” the report stated.

Elon Musk responded saying:

A few weeks ago, Elon Musk polled on Twitter asking followers whether Tesla should accept Dogecoin as a means of payment.

2 – My DeFi Pet Create Bridge to Polygon Mainnet

My DeFi Pet, a virtual pet game, revealed it’s created a bridge to Polygon (formerly Matic) Mainnet through the AnySwap network. It’s important to note that Anyswap is a trustless protocol that bridges assets between heterogenous Layer 1 platforms; facilitating cross-chain swaps.

Additionally, My DeFi Pet is a virtual pet game that brings together a combination of DeFi, collectibles, and user personality. The game is operated on platforms such as Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and KardiaChain.

The DPET token is also the “main in-game currency.” The token can be used for exchanging, trading, and improving the Pets and their qualities.

3 – Gas Fee for Flash Loans: Equalizer Finance vs Aave

Today, the flash loan unit test was conducted between Aave Protocol, an open-source and non-custodial liquidity protocol, and Equalizer Finance.

Notably, the result showed Equalizer is twice as efficient as Aave for flash loan operations costs.

Equalizer Finance is reportedly the first dedicated flash loans platform for DeFi markets on Polkadot, Ethereum, and Binance Smart Chain. The platform is also scalable and multi-chain.

4 – Terra Virtua (TVK) Introduces World’s First NFT Reader vPlay and Bloodline

Nick Percival, a creator of graphic novels and comic books, gave an in-depth presentation on Bloodline (the world’s first graphic novel), and TVK’s world-first NFT reader vPlay.

Nick Percival earlier said: “After two years of development, I’m delighted to release my new novel, Bloodlines as an NFT. I’d originally planned to publish it as a traditional graphic novel but after working with Terra Virtua, I became fascinated in the ways NFTs enable people to experience art in ways that aren’t possible in print.”

Jawad Ashraf, the Co-Founder of Terra Virtua also stated: “We’re very excited to release BloodLines as the first NFT graphic novel – this is a new era for storytelling. The creation of the reader app will revolutionize the way collectors can consume and share their graphic novel collections.”

Terra Virtua reportedly makes use of blockchain technology to allow digital asset collectors to display and interact with their virtual goods in virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and in 3D on PCs.
