Solana, XRP and Ethereum ETFs Turn Red as Bitcoin Funds Add $101M

Bitcoin ETFs attracted $101.15 million on September 2 as Ethereum, XRP and Solana funds recorded daily outflows, highlighting a shift toward BTC.

U.S. cryptocurrency ETF flows diverged sharply on September 2, with Bitcoin ETFs attracting more than $100 million while Ethereum, XRP and Solana funds recorded daily outflows.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs posted $101.15 million in net inflows, bringing total net assets to approximately $97.22 billion and cumulative net inflows to around $54.73 billion.

The latest figures suggest investors are becoming more selective, with Bitcoin attracting fresh institutional demand even as major altcoin ETFs experience withdrawals.

Bitcoin ETFs Attract $101 Million

Bitcoin was the clear winner among the major crypto ETF categories.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $101.15 million in daily inflows, while trading volume reached approximately $1.73 billion.

The funds now hold around $97.22 billion in total net assets, with cumulative net inflows of approximately $54.73 billion.

The renewed demand comes as the broader crypto market faces uncertainty, suggesting some investors may be favoring Bitcoin over higher beta altcoins.

Ethereum ETFs Record $48M Outflows

Ethereum ETFs moved in the opposite direction.

Spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $48.08 million in net outflows during the session.

Despite the daily withdrawals, Ethereum funds continue to show strong longer-term demand. Their 30-day net inflows remain positive at approximately $1.83 billion, while cumulative inflows stand near $13.03 billion.

The latest outflow therefore represents a relatively small setback compared with the amount of capital that has flowed into Ethereum ETFs over time.

XRP ETFs See $57M in Withdrawals

XRP experienced an even sharper reversal.

The five U.S. XRP ETF products recorded combined net outflows of approximately $57.20 million on September 2.

However, cumulative XRP ETF inflows remain around $1.68 billion, while 30-day net flows are still positive at approximately $165.22 million.

The figures suggest that investors have not completely abandoned XRP exposure. Instead, the latest withdrawals could reflect short-term profit-taking or reduced risk appetite following XRP's strong August rally.

Solana ETFs Also Slip into the Red

Solana ETFs recorded the smallest daily outflow among the three major altcoin categories.

SOL funds lost approximately $6.13 million during the session.

Despite the withdrawal, Solana's broader ETF flow picture remains positive, with approximately $197.60 million in 30-day inflows and around $1.34 billion in cumulative net inflows.

This indicates that the latest outflow has not erased the longer-term demand for Solana investment products.

XRP Price Tests Key $1.35 Support

The ETF divergence is also reflected in price action.

After XRP's sharp August rally toward $1.70, the token has pulled back to around $1.36.

XRP is now testing its 200-day moving average near $1.35, making this an important support level for the token.

A sustained hold above $1.35 could help prevent a deeper correction toward the 20-day EMA near $1.29. Losing the 200-day moving average, however, could increase selling pressure.

This makes the latest XRP ETF outflows particularly notable as investors assess whether the August rally can regain momentum.

Bitcoin Gains as Altcoin ETF Demand Cools

The latest ETF data paints a mixed picture rather than a broad exit from crypto investment products.

Ethereum, XRP and Solana all recorded daily withdrawals, but their 30-day and cumulative flows remain positive.

Bitcoin, meanwhile, attracted more than $100 million in fresh capital.

That divergence suggests institutional investors may currently be treating Bitcoin as the safer crypto exposure while taking a more cautious approach toward altcoins.

For now, the key question is whether the altcoin ETF outflows remain temporary or develop into a broader trend.

Bitcoin has regained the strongest immediate ETF demand, while Ethereum, XRP and Solana enter a period of short-term pressure despite maintaining positive longer-term flows.
